Edgar Fawcett (1847-1904), The Grass
At its most basic level, Grasses belong to the GRAMINEAE or Grass family and Sedges belong to the Cyperus family CYPERACEAE.
Some Plant Types are based on botanical differences (grasses, ferns, slime molds, fungus) while others are just arbitrary groups based on appearance (vines, trees, wildflowers) or popular interest (orchids, carnivorous plants).
