Bartram’s Scrub-hairstreak (Strymon acis bartrami) is a federally endangered butterfly currently known to exist in just a handful of locations. Caterpillars of this butterfly species feed only on Pineland Croton (Croton linearis) which is now common only in the disappearing pine rocklands of Miami-Dade county and Florida Keys.
