Sessileleaf Bellwort (Uvularia sessilifolia) may be a botanically correct name for this flower which describes the stalkless leaves, but this yellow-flowered beauty deserves the much more soulful name of Merrybells. It does make you merry to see these pop up on ravine slope in spring.
