Orchids

The Earth laughs in flowers.

Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

Orchids are any plants that belong to the ORCHIDACEAE or Orchid Family. According to Kew Gardens, 28,000 orchid species have been identified worldwide. They certainly can be considered as wildflowers, but they have been put into their own plant type because of people’s interest in Orchids as a group.
